Description
Offered for sale is a very cute set of FOUR cereal bowls that was manufactured by the Blue Ridge China / Pottery Co. of Tennessee. The pattern is either Bouncing Cherries or Crab Apple. The abstract nature of the hand-painting makes it difficult to distinguish sometimes. I identified this pattern in the book "Collector's Encyclopedia of Blue Ridge China" (copyright 1994) by Betty & Bill Newbound. According to the Newbound's, pattern lines that start with the 3000 numbers were made in the 1940's. I have other pieces of this pattern - which are also for sale in my eBay Store - and they are marked with the number 3773. So, we can assume that this pattern was made during the 1940's. These bowls measure between 5 1/4 inches and 5 1/2 inches across and they stand about an inch tall. Three of the bowls are in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no damage whatsoever! One bowl has 3 tiny chips / flakes on the underside of the edge - under the rim - which you can't see from the top of the bowl. I am selling all four bowls for one money, as the auctioneers used to say! Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase. You will be delighted with these cute, country bowls!!
