(Documentary) November 2, 2004: Back with a vengeance, The Beastie Boys have made up for lost time by releasing what many are considering to be their finest work in a decade. In celebration of this monumentous event, this documentary DVD looks back at the entire fabulous career of the Beasties and in so doing brings a fresh approach to the story of NYC's favourite sons. Including rare footage, exclusive interviews, contributions from those closest to the guys plus seldom seen photographs, news reports, location shoots and a host of other features, this film is the finest programme yet to emerge about the group who made white-boys-rapping not merely acceptable but a joy to behold.
56. Local New York City Public Access Programming: January 1984: Little Beastie Boys and Girl (Kate Schellenbach of Luscious Jackson), during the era of “Cookie Puss” mania. See the early stages of their charm in insightful interview. Driving them to the studio they went on about how they shouldn’t have to do small stuff like cable and that they were going to be big stars. Took us twenty years to figure out that one of the songs they performed, “Egg Raid on Mojo” was about them tossing eggs at a bouncer who wouldn’t let them into a bar.
