This instrument has been serviced by my local woodwind shop and had pads replaced and a new cork 2years ago but I haven’t played it much since it’s been serviced and has been cared for quite nicely (I always brush my teeth right before playing and clean it out right after) it has an absolutely beautiful warm sound that is typical for the Yamaha flutes.
This was a HUGE upgrade from my previous flute and I fell in love with that warm sound which is great for playing on the low register…ahhh it’s a gorgeous sound…lol anyway I can also get high E out REALLY easy on this instrument…I’ve switched to a Powell sonare 905 which I love the sound of but it’s so much harder to play than this Yamaha, but I wanted the tone of the rose gold instead of the warmth of the yellow gold on here, but for the warm rich gold tone…it’s got it because the lip plate AND riser AND the INSIDE of the headjoint is plated in 14k gold so it sounds rich.
In nice working condition and sure to please it’s new player.
